Like & Love

Wondering whether we first like a person (gender neutral) and then love him/her, or we first love a person and then like him/her.
It is generally said that when you love a person, you start liking him/her, or everything about that person, and disable your senses to see any flaws in the person you love and like. With love, you get obsessed, and that blocks your sense of discretion to filter what is good for you and what’s not.
In other words, you do not mind flaws in a person (you love) and decide to overlook the same, and continue to like the person you love no matter whatever be his/her vices you came to know later on. That means, you are unable to dismiss your love, no matter whatever be the case/cost.
Contrary to that, if you like the person first, and then love him/her for whatever it is, his/her looks, smile, talk, or any other virtue, and then you come to know about the flaws of that person, you shall take notice of the same, get yourself rid of the undeserved love you had been showering on him/her so far. That means, when you see flaws in a person you like and love, you take cognizance of his/her flaws, and hold on to your discretion to love or not to love. You stay with your neutral position, as is for your like & love for anyone else.
With Like & Love, you are in control; with Love & Like, the other person (you love) has the control.
