- Bad times are Good times
Bad is Good, albeit, at times. Wondering how can bad times be good times? Let's see.
Remember Corona times. In the memory of living people today, the times were never so bad as during corona wave in 2020 and 2021, when the world would have lost over 5 million people. And they were not poor or ordinary people, a lot of them were distinguished intellectual people too. A lot of them were kind, good and God fearing too. The corona wave swept across globe unabated and who so ever came in contact with that perished, leaving behind wailing family members, lost business, loss of employment and jobs across all sectors all over the world. It's only the people who lost their near and ears or who lost their jobs, or whose businesses collapsed can bear the testimony to the havoc it brought in their lives. No words, examples or sermon can tell the story that unfolded during those times. The world came to standstill.
Pull down the shutters here, and open a new window for the life we have been witnessing since then. Look at the change that period of 2020-2024 (including corona part of the unforgettable years of 2020 and 2021) have brought in our lives.
Online businesses that has evolved over this period is enormous and has created new moghuls in every field of activity, be it education, health care, shopping, eating, counselling etc, to name the few. YouTube channels, and other social media platforms, the likes of Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Blinkit, Swiggy, Zomato came handy to make their dreams come true. Even these successful people, whose vaults are now overflowing , and endless stream of cash flows assured to continue, themselves would have also never imagined the kind of astronomical proportions it shall reach in such a short time, and with no stopping them. Not only that, millions of new entrepreneurs are joining this bandwagon, and their success inspiring many more to take a plunge. The sky has become the canvass, who so ever can dream and take a chance.
Yes, bad times definitely are bad times, and pray it should not befall on any one. But once you are under influence of bad times, hold back yourself, for that also, at most of times, becomes the cusp for good times to begin. Don’t miss that opportunity. That is the time when fields have to be tilled - for farm sector, and mind fields for intellectuals , and one just have to work hard and pray for rainfall of God’s blessings, and who knows, the world belongs to you.
Recently, we came to know that the legendary Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy (of Infosys fame) once went for a job interview, in 1979-80 period, to Wipro, and Azim Premji rejected him. Surely, that was bad time for Mr. Narayan Murthy, and definitely he would have felt dejected.
Mr. Narayana Murthy didn't curse his luck, or didn't pity why the person sitting on the other side of table can't see his knowledge, his talent and his level of dedication and commitment. He just packed his bags, and probably would have thought enough with job interviews, discussed with his like minded friends, and laid the foundation of one of the most valued and respected IT company Infosys. That's one of the most iconic example of turning bad times into good times. Wanting one job to creating millions of jobs for others - that could be the best revenge.
The world history is replete with many success stories, which had its origins in bad times, and with perseverance, self-belief and hard work, people turned it around and scripted memorable feats, for others to dare and roar.
Any confusion? Bad times, though bad and no body wants it, yet, in case you don’t stumble and succumb to it, with perseverance and planning, bad times can be turned into good times.
Stay with the tide. Bad times are spring times, leading to Good times.
