My Family ...........My World
World is a big stage, and so is every country. But, the world to me, and to most of us, however, consists of our immediate family, our extended family, our friends & colleagues, and few close neighbours & well-wishers. When I count those numbers in my case, it works to a mere 100 people.
I call such 100 people as my Family
So my world is restricted to such 100 people I know or deal with directly or indirectly. Other than the impact of Govt policies in my day-to-day life, these 100 people alone are the cause of all the joy, happiness, and sorrow too, if I have some suffering also.
So if I have to showcase / boast some of my / my children/grandchildren success, it is those 100 people whom I am able to impress and not beyond that. Similarly, if any of my /my children/grandchildren action needs to be deplored in society, and I have to cut sorry figure for that, for any reason whatsoever, it’s again restricted to those 100 people only.
So the world to me doesn’t exist beyond those 100 people. I don’t exist for all the other 7 billion odd people, other than those 100 people, and most of them (except some celebrities) too also don’t exist for me, and neither of us impact each other’s life in any significant way.
So if my understanding of the world , as I have perceived, is correct, I need to make conscious efforts to help improve the quality of relationship leading to joy and happiness to such 100 people only. If I am into social service, this list of people may get extended to say 200.
What I mean is that bulk of my joy & happiness emanates from such 100 people only. Similarly, if I only ensure that I shall not hurt or inconvenience those people, and rather try helping them out, to that extent, I ensure I am not adding to woes of those 100 people.
If that spirit is reciprocated by those 100 people in turn to their contacts of say another 100 or so people, the world to those people and people around them shall become a dream come true.
The net result of conscious focused efforts by all of us in that regard is that the world which comes within our perimeter becomes good, beautiful and cherishing.
In nutshell, if everyone takes care of the world around them (say 100 people), the world around you and around those 100 people shall become a better place.
Take care of your Family; the world automatically gets taken care of.
