Predictable Certainty
I read somewhere that whatever one intend to say, in respect of any situation, whatsoever, it's already said by someone else earlier. No matter whatever and howsoever original thought it may be. In my voyage, called life, I vowed many a times not to do a particular task or take a particular stance in any situational context, and lo I ended up doing the same for which I said I shall never. Like I once said i shall never put on Tie, or I shall never build a house or I shall never have public display of any religious celebration at my place, but like it or not, family compulsion or my changed priority, I ended up doing all that for which I had absolute aversion at one point of time.
Recently I came across one article, with a title ' Never say Never'......the thing I was trying to emphasize. Credit to author of that article, as I reproduce his point of view in that respect hereunder, as it sums up my thoughts too.. It goes like this:-
" You may have noticed, as I have, that if ever you find yourself declaring emphatically and unequivocally that you will never do some one particular thing, chances are good enough that this is precisely what you will one day find yourself doing.
I don't mean that declaring you will never win a Noble prize gets you a sure ticket to Stockholm. No, I refer to those negative positive pronouncements that usually begin with......." They will never catch me buying or going or doing or singing or dancing or driving or marrying or flirting or wearing or pretending............" That is the sort of statement to be wary of; for as sure as the Lord made little green apples, you will find yourself doing exactly what you said you would never be doing, one fine day, and most probably in a public place at high noon."
If that's true with you too, rejoice at the predictability of human behaviour and likely responses there to.
So think , and hold yourself when you get tempted to say, " I shall never..." Be conscious, Nature is listening.
