Success and Stress

  • Success and Stress

Success is relative, everybody says. What about Stress? Is that too ?

Let’s see…..

Supposing you are stressed up because you find, at times, your wife doesn’t listens to you. While you, with your head down, are  trying to pull back your self esteem, you get to know that even Sachin Tendulkar’s wife also doesn’t listen to him at times. You feel slightly comfortable. Then someone comes and tells you that even Sharukh Khan’s wife also, at times, doesn’t listen to him. Not only that, even M S Dhoni’s wife also doesn’t listen to him at times.

How are you feeling now? A little better, or quite relaxing. Your stress levels comes down substantially when you get to know that others too have similar stress. So, can we say, stress too is relative.

Let’s look at another example. You have been wronged, and you feel like huge injustice has been inflicted on you, and no body appears serious to get justice done, and you are withering with immense pain as you are not able to do anything to undone the injustice. Now someone comes and tells you that even Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood Badshaah Sharukh Khan had to spend some 22 days in jail in that narcotics case in which he was supposedly found involved. With Sharukh Khan’s star image and his fan following, and his contacts with influential people , both in politics and in bureaucracy, he couldn’t do much and had to patiently wait for bail and consequent Aryan’s release.

With this piece of information available to you, how do you now feel about your own stress on account of huge injustice you were inflicted upon. Better, or much better. Hope, that gives you strength to cope with  your injustice and handle the stress much better.

If still you are not convinced, look at the plight of people/families killed/displaced, houses/businesses demolished in Ukraine - Russia, and now Palestine - Israel war, with no hope of any respite in near future in any of these four countries, and for no fault of any single individual person, and yet you feel you were wronged for no reasons, and you are finding it difficult to come to terms with that injustice...........think again.

Remember, life is unfair. Things may not always go your way no matter how best you may try. The cosmic currents always try to rock your boats.

Now to manage stress, the mind needs to be quieten. Whenever you feel you are being over-powered by stress, show your mind stress of other people around, and instruct it to keep quite, and it’s ok to live the stress that is disturbing you at that point of time. Chances, and there are fair chances, it shall quieten, and shall retrace the onslaught it has prepared for you.

Trust it will work, and habituate your mind to slow down whenever it tries to disturb you in future. That’s Talwaredge code to rein in the agitating mind.

So, Stress too, like Success, is relative.

Stress handled well turn into Success. And Success, not handled well, turns into Stress.

Don't stress about success. Both are relative. Just keep doing what anyone else would have done under the given circumstances.
